Full Job Description

Job Summary: Responsible for managing program stability, supervising staff and ensuring that all needed resources are procured and available to provide residents a safe, dynamic, and therapeutic program. The Program Director will serve as a role model for residents and staff; demonstrate professional behavior, attitude and possess emotional competence at all times when interacting with staff, residents, parents, WBR stakeholders and community members.

Program Director Responsibilities:

General and Administrative Responsibilities:

Maintain an active presence throughout the facility to ensure agency policies, resident needs and licensing standards are being met.
Explores and initiates new programs and services for improvement.
On Call Duties: Shares with Executive Director, House Manager, and Therapist(s) after 6 months.
Prepares annual clinical budget with Executive Director.
Ensures all staff adhere to the regulations of the state of Missouri concerning program, documentation & reporting.
Attends seminars, trainings, and educational programs when necessary to enhance skills.
Adherence to and updating of WBR Policy, Resident, and Employee manuals.
Medication Management: Assists Campus Nurse in management of all resident medicine.

Responsibilities to Residents:

Ensure residents’ rights are protected at all times.
Immediate response to residents’ incidents with disciplinary action as needed
Makes final decisions on all admissions and discharges; communicates decisions with Admissions Manager, Therapist(s) and Executive Director.
Arranges home/parent visits and coordinates transportation.
Manages all residents’ physical and mental health needs.
Adventure Week: In concert with Executive Director plan, communicate with facilitators about specific resident needs and facilitate trips when needed.

Staff Oversight:

Provides weekly supervision and annual job evaluations. of Therapist(s), House Manager, Headmaster, and Campus Nurse.
Organizes and manages biweekly staff meetings and monthly trainings.
Become a certified TCI trainer to assist with the training of all direct care employees.
Observes and makes recommendations to the Executive Director and/or House Manager about the direct care staff, including training and hiring/firing.
Collaborate with Headmaster to discuss specific resident progress and needs; effectively integrate aspects of school curriculum with therapeutic interventions.
Collaborate with House Manager to provide supervision and post-crisis response to all direct care employees as needed.
Collaborate with Therapist(s) to provide guidance in therapeutic interventions as needed.

Future Programming:

Develop clinical internship program.
Introduce therapeutic innovations to enhance program and potentially create new revenue streams.
Design and manage effective aftercare program.
Consider and research installing parent portal for clients.
Manage accreditation process.
Establish insurance billing process.

Job Requirements:

Must have one of the following credentials: LMFT, LPC or LCSW.
Must read, understand, and support WBR Mission Statement, Core Values, and Statement of Faith.
Must have ability to lead and supervise others.
Must have valid Missouri driver’s license.
Must have three (3) years experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic setting – preferred 5 years experience with clinical supervision training.
Ability to handle public speaking, press, and/or publicity matters if needed.
Clear Missouri Department of Social Services fingerprint background check.
Successfully complete TCI TxT (Train the Trainer Training) to become a certified TCI Trainer and maintain updates as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
